The clients approached us with a tired house that had a disjointed internal layout due to previous extensions. We proposed a two-storey side extension to create a coherent space with better spatial connection, including a new kitchen/dining area and a master bedroom with ensuite above.
The extension was designed to protrude from the original front elevation to maximise space without affecting the rear garden.

To enhance the property's appearance, we replaced all existing windows with new grey anthractire uPVC windows and rendered the whole building, including the new extension. To provide a contrast of material, dark grey slate cladding was introduced to the protruding front entrance, which cantilevered over to form a covered canopy over the new front entrance door.

Although the external landscaping to the front is yet to be finished, all building work was completed in 2022.

In-house drone footage was produced, providing a time-lapse of the construction process from start to completion.
