The client, who had recently purchased a property in Ruddington, Nottingham, approached us with a request to create an additional bedroom and more living space for their growing family. We carefully considered the opportunities and constraints of the project throughout the design process to ensure that our solution met their needs.

Our design features an open plan living area that combines the most important rooms in the home, creating a larger space that promotes connection and socialisation. The kitchen serves as the heart of the home, and the open plan design connects it seamlessly with the dining and snug areas.

To provide ample light and a focal point for the dining space, we added a two-storey side and rear extension with a single storey vaulted ceiling, complete with pendant lighting. Upstairs, we created a new bedroom with vaulted ceilings and rooflights, providing a lighter and more spacious feel. Large doors to the rear, along with a juliette balcony, offer stunning views of the garden.
