CLD Architecture was tasked with designing a new-build, four-bedroom dwelling in the heart of South Normanton, Derbyshire for a developer client. The existing site had already secured outline planning approval for a single dwelling, but no further details on design, scale, and layout had been established.

To meet the client's needs, we worked together to develop a contemporary design that was in keeping with the surrounding architectural styles. The neighbouring properties were all single-storey, which influenced the decision to design a dormer bungalow that would blend in with the lower-scale properties.

The new build is designed with Lifetime Homes principles in mind, which aim to create flexible and adaptable homes that can accommodate the changing needs of individuals and families at different stages of life.

CLD Architecture provided a comprehensive design service, including all the necessary supporting information for the planning application submission.

Construction is set to begin in Spring 2023, with an estimated completion date in early Autumn 2023.
